Here is a snapshot of our outdoor exploring this week. Look at our cheery faces.
This week we looked at our rights and took a survey with our P7 buddies. When we had done this, our buddies shared a music app called Incredibox so we can create our own music. It was lots and lots of fun!
This week, we explored our Learning Records and listened to our stories by scanning our QR codes. It was so exciting. We listened to each other’s stories and want to have more in our learning records so we can share our learning. These will be in our book bags this week, we can’t wait toContinue reading “QR Codes”
This week and last week we’ve really become interested in retelling and performing. Last week, a group of children designed a show, posters for the show and created a ticket office for their performance of the Gruffalo. All the learners wanted to watch or take part. We had a camera crew at the front andContinue reading “Roll Up Roll Up, it’s showtime!”
Every Thursday P1 get together for PE. Recently we have been looking at different ways to balance and building different sporting skills. Here are a few photos of our obstacle course last week and our different skills based activities this week.
Along with your child’s homework this week, in their red book bag this Friday, you will find toothpaste and a toothbrush. These have been kindly donated by NHS Scotland and the Childsmile initiative.
We also explored the Christmas story this week and what Christian’s believe took part on the first Christmas. We made some stories, we created a stable, houses from Nazereth and we explored other places in the world and where they are.
This week our learners wanted to make a McDonalds all fitted with a drive through, fryers, opening times, signage, staff and all the food you could eat. It was a fantastic learning opportunity for money, food preparation and roles within a workplace and it was all child led. Well done everyone!
