Well done to Sophie for achieving her certificate for Best Tiny Dancer. We loved hearing all about it and we are all very excited to hear about more of your dancing achievements.

Thank you all for coming to parents evening this week. It was a great chance to get to know you all and your wee ones a little bit better.
As I mentioned, if you have any questions, queries or concerns or any amazing achievements to share please do not hesitate to catch myself or Mrs Naismith at the door or email or call.

So far this week, Primary 1B have found the puppet theatre this week. This has led to so many stories shared with the puppets, adverts made and tickets designed. Today’s tickets were £10 and well worth it!
We’ve also enjoyed reading outside using our pallets for a nice space to sit and relax with a book.
Can’t wait for more of this wonderful child led learning this week.

This week marks the start of Primary 1 reading together book bags. Along with lots of other important letters, in your child’s book bag you will find a lovely story book to share with your child along with a card that will have some ideas on how to grow the learning around the book at home.
We will send home a new book every Friday until the holidays with the previous one coming in each Wednesday. There will be no book bags home on a Wednesday or Thursday to allow us time to get the next exciting read ready.
We hope you enjoy spending time reading and sharing these with your child.
Here is a small snapshot of all the amazing learning and experiences we’ve had this week.

Today Miss Hutcheson was wearing a crown made by P5/6 and this caught the eye of our P1s. Thank you Miss Hutcheson and P5/6 for inviting us to make some of our own. We decorated them with feathers and jewels. They are very regal!

It’s been so nice keeping our relationships going with our buddies. The P1s are always smiling and excited when they hear they are coming to visit. This week has been no different with a really fun activity searching for different items in the school grounds. Here are some photos of our fun.

Thank you to all family members who visited us on Thursday for our Open Afternoon. We hope you enjoyed having a little time to explore with your wee one. For any parents who were unable to come, please feel free to come and chat to Mrs Macaulay to visit at another time.

This week we did some excellent exploring, constructing, and building play. Here is a few photos of us having fun!
